Instruction for Tuoan Ibuprofen and Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride Dispersible Tablets

[Ingredients] Ibuprofen 200mg
Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride 30mg
[Physical Description] White tablets.
[Pharmacology]
Ibuprofen is a prostaglandin (PG) synthetase inhibitor which has the effect of reducing and relieving fevers, pain and inflammation. Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride is an adrenergic receptor agonist which contracts blood vessels selectively, and can relieve nasal congestion, tumefaction and ease stuffy nose.
[Indications]
For the symptomatic relief of influenza and cold, such as fever, headache, sore throat, body aches and pains, nasal congestion, running nose.
[Dosage and Administration]
For adults and children aged 12 years or above: 1-2 tablets, 3 times a day up to a maximum of six tablets per day. For children under 12, take according to physician's instructions. Tuoan can be taken whole, or dispersed in warm water.
[Adverse Reactions]
Common adverse effects include insomnia, stomach upset and excitation. These effects are usually relieved on stopping the medication.
[Contraindications]
1.This drug should not be taken by patients who are allergic to Ibuprofen or Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride.
2.Patients with active alimentary canal ulceration should not take this drug.
3.This drug should not be taken by patients in whom Aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can induce symptoms of vascular hydroncus, asthma or rhinopolypus.
[Cautions]
1.The maximum daily dosage is 6 tablets. If the symptoms continue beyond 3-7 days, consult your physician.
2.Do not take other medicine whose ingredients are similar to this drug at the same time.
3.Those with heart disease, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, glaucoma or difflculty in urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland should take Tuoan on a physician's advice.
4.Avoid alcohol when taking this drug.
5.If serious adverse reactions occur, consult a physician immediately.
6.Pregnant women or lactating women, and the elderly should take Tuoan with caution.
7.Administration to children should be supervised by an adult.
8.It is dangerous to exceed the stated dose.
[Drug Interactions]
1.This drug should not be administrated with anti-hypertensive drugs or antidepressants.
2.Concomitant administration of this drug with other antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory agents may cause an increase in the likelihood of adverse effects of ulceration and gastrointestinal distress occurring.
3.Concomitant administration of this drug with Digoxin or Methotrexate could increase the likelihood of adverse effects.
4.If taking other medicines simultaneously, please consult your physician or pharmacist before use.
[Storage] Store in dry place, store below 25¡æ. Keep out of reach of children.
